As a parent you are your child’s first teacher, most influential role model and ultimate bearer of responsibility. It is you who carries your child’s best interests at heart. As such, it is you, the parent, who is the most effective advocate for your child’s education. Your EFMP can help you navigate through a number of resources that will empower you to maximize your child’s learning experience throughout their educational journey.
Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
An IEP is developed uniquely for each child with a qualifying disability. It is put in place to ensure maximum progress, involvement and academic success within the education system.
504 Accommodation Plan
A 504 Accommodation Plan is also designed specifically for each child. Its purpose is to minimize the impact of a mental or physical impairment by listing the accommodations your child needs to participate in any federally funded educational program or activity.
Arizona Department of Education - Special Education Exceptional Student Services (ESS)
Exceptional Student Services ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and provides exceptional customer service and technical assistance to promote continuous improvement throughout Arizona.
